I don't know. Everything I hear about Chinese equipment says it's junk. Like the brand new type 59g that exploded on the 31st round in Bangladesh. Apparently, they are making breach blocks out of aluminum instead of steel.

The Philippines used to have 48 Scorpion Tanks. Today it is been replaced by GDELS-Elbit Systems ASCOD Sabrah Tanks. But their turrets are being repurposed by being installed on M113 APCs as Fire Support Vehicle (FSVs), courtesy of Elbit Systems who offered the replacements for the Scorpions.

As you know about Pakistanis who think & believe anything Indian is junk & they exaggerate on their products when they can't make even a 4 wheeler or 2 wheeler of their own. Al Khalid was a similar hyped tank which at one time was compared to MBT Arjun continuously along with T 90’s of India & the best tanks of the world. Today you won’t see it anymore going for war games, military exhibitions or pitched for Export. It used to be seen on all exhibitions & showing off with claims of conquering the world till around 2015. Social media was full buzz of Mk2’s MK3’s & by the time MK 5 is inducted & exported MBT Arjun will still be doing trails for FOC induction. This was how Pakistanis used to mock our Arjun No Al Khalid MK1 or 2 showed up even after 25 years where in the same mocked MBT Arjun is still in service & still in production. Most Pakistanis won’t even know or would believe that it’s great Al Khalid is dead long ago. Pak Army quietly purchased VT 4 tanks from China recently as their Tank building indignation is doomed for good. In just 6-8 years the JF 17’s will also be quietly Rested in Peace along with Pak’s Jet building capability. Al Khalid is a fully closed & scrapped project in 2015/16 itself. Comparing the cheap & dead Chinese Junk Khalid with our mean machine Arjun is a joke, as though the corpse is going to get up from its grave & fight when war arises. India has been slow but just in Mar 2024 our BEML successfully tested a 1500 HP indigenous Engine for MBT. Testing is planned till 2026 to establish reliability in various conditions & fine tuning all the short comings to ensure Engine's robustness, reliability & quality before mass production to replace the present German engine & also all our future tanks

Today, the company Aero is owned by the Hungarian government, and if they invest in it, maybe they will produce another plane suitable for air-shows.
